a gorgeous day in a beautiful location with two great people… i love my job 
) i’m really looking forward to alex & sydney’s wedding next month…enjoy my favorite picks from today’s shoot!
so… sydney is a nurse & alex is in school for dentistry… only made sense )
so… i am officially ENGAGED!! AHH!! geoff proposed to me this past friday while we were having a picnic at one of my favorite places ever…the IMA gardens. the crazy thing is that i woke up that morning and i knew he was going to ask me to marry him. i have no idea why, but i just knew haha. my suspicions were confirmed when he arrived at my house acting all awkward and nervous ) he had been planning this picnic on this day for weeks. he had carefully hidden the ring in the picnic basket…which i overlooked twice! finally, he pulled the ring out of the basket and got down on one knee…and the rest is history )
we met just nine months ago and it has been the most amazing ride of my life. driving home from our first date, i called my mom and told her i was going to marry him. i was in love that first day ) he is my best friend… everything and so much more than i have ever hoped and prayed for. i am constantly reminded of god’s amazing goodness when i think of how he so faithfully provided this perfect match for me )
ahhh it’s all still sinking in… ) and the big question everyone keeps asking… “who is going to photograph YOUR wedding?!”
anyways, here’s a few of my favorite pictures of the two of us…plus some pictures from the day we got engaged )
ok, so i’m a bit behind in the blogging process… but man has it been a busy month so far! between weddings and plenty of other photo shoots, i just moved back downtown into a new house and i’ve been workin super hard getting my new office together ) pics of that coming soon! also for the past couple of months, i’ve been working with pulse creative partners on some new branding ideas along with a new fancy blog… definitely be checking back for that! i’m very excited about it all ) i met up with the awesome people at pulse the other day to get a few shots of their very cool space…check those out below. they are also part of the south side gallery hop, so make sure to stop by and check it out. currently they have several works by john strickland displayed. anyways, just filling you in on what’s been going on in my world ) check back for a very special update soon…. )

zan and erin met on a spring break trip a few years back and have been inseparable since ) they tied the knot on a beautiful sunny day…despite plenty of rainy threats! i had a great time with the couple, along with their friends and family at advent lutheran in zionsville, followed by a lovely reception at the montage. congrats you two! )

two of my favorite musicians, whom i respect greatly, performed at the music mill this past friday night. check out their fantastic music [here] and [here]…
AND make sure you check out the incredible organization they support, [the mocha club] which raises money for children in africa who so desperately need our help. did you know, $7 will feed one person for a month, educate 2 children for one term, save one person’s life from malaria, and provide clean water to 7 africans for a year!?! can you give up the cost of 2 mochas a month?… i’m a member of the team ‘Indy Loves Africa’ and you should be too )
